Persistence and Confidence in Prayer
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
In this section of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus encourages us to maintain an active posture of communion with God. The three actions described—ask, seek, and knock—represent increasing levels of intensity and faith, showing that prayer isn't just a fleeting wish, but a continuous pursuit of the Father's will.
God wants us to approach Him with the confidence of children who know the goodness of their Creator. He doesn't ignore our needs, but He values the relationship built through daily dependence. The promise is clear: there is a divine response for those who come to Him with sincerity and persistence.
