Purity of heart and the vision of God

In this portion of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches us that true happiness is linked to the integrity of our inner self. To be pure in heart doesn't mean being perfect or faultless, but possessing a deep sincerity before God, where intentions and desires are aligned with the Father's will, without hypocrisy or ulterior motives. The purity described here works like a lens that clears our spiritual vision. When we remove the impurities of pride, envy, and selfishness, we become capable of perceiving God's presence in all moments of life, from small daily provisions to the eternal glory that awaits us. In practice, seeking this purity requires a constant exercise of surrender and prayer. It is asking the Holy Spirit to search our thoughts and help us cultivate a heart that desires what is good, just, and true, allowing Christ's light to shine through us and bring us ever closer to the face of the Creator.
