The Transforming Power of True Faith
“'If you can?' said Jesus. 'Everything is possible for one who believes.'”
In this powerful moment from the Gospel of Mark, Jesus responds to a father's desperate cry for his son. The question 'if you can' reveals human hesitation in the face of problems that seem impossible, but Jesus redirects the focus to total trust in Him, removing the limits imposed by doubt.
This verse is not a magic formula for obtaining selfish desires, but an invitation to align our will with the sovereign power of God. To believe means trusting that the Lord has authority over all circumstances, even when we see no immediate way out.
In practice, applying this word requires courage to surrender our fears and limitations to Christ. When we place our faith in the God of the impossible, we find the strength to persevere and the peace to face challenges, knowing that nothing is beyond the control of the One who can do all things.
