Total trust over fear

Don’t be afraid; just believe.
Marcos 5:36NVI
In this crucial moment in the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is on his way to Jairus' house when he receives news that the official's daughter has already died. Christ's words bring an immediate contrast between human hopelessness and divine authority. He doesn't ignore the facts, but offers a superior spiritual perspective. The practical application for today is clear: fear is a natural response to adversity, but it should not guide our decisions. Faith, as taught by Jesus, is not the absence of difficulty, but active trust in His presence and power, even when circumstances seem irreversible. Choosing to believe instead of fear requires daily surrender. When facing "bad news," we are invited to silence the voices of despair and focus on the voice of the One who has the final word on life. This attitude transforms our anxiety into a peace that surpasses all understanding.
