Finding strength and courage in God

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Josué 1:9NVI
This verse marks a major leadership transition for the people of Israel. After Moses passes away, Joshua is given the daunting mission of leading the nation into the Promised Land. God’s command isn't based on Joshua’s human skills, but on the guarantee of divine presence every step of the way. For us, this promise serves as a reminder that Christian courage isn't the absence of fear, but the confidence that God is greater than any obstacle. Discouragement loses its grip when we realize we aren't fighting our daily battles alone. Apply this principle by trusting that in every decision or challenge at work, with family, or in your studies, the Lord is right there with you. Be strong not by your own power, but through the faithfulness of the One who promised to never leave your side.
