Practicing Christian Brotherly Love

Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Romanos 12:10NVI
This verse summarizes the essence of community living. Paul invites us to go beyond mere coexistence, cultivating a deep and genuine affection, similar to the bond between blood siblings. The foundation of this relationship is mutual self-giving and intentional care for one's neighbor. The second part of the text challenges us to combat natural selfishness through honor. In a world that encourages competition and self-promotion, the ethics of the Kingdom of God guide us to place the needs and merits of others ahead of our own, creating an environment of mutual appreciation. In practice, this means looking for opportunities to praise, support, and serve those around us. When we choose to honor someone, we are reflecting the character of Christ, who did not come to be served, but to serve and give His life for us all.
