The source of our true strength

This verse marks the beginning of Paul's exhortation on the Armor of God. The apostle reminds us that our own strength is limited in the face of life's spiritual and emotional adversities, hence the importance of being connected to the inexhaustible source of power that comes from the Lord. Strengthening yourself in the Lord doesn't mean the absence of struggles, but rather the guarantee that we are not fighting alone. It is an invitation to daily and humble dependence on God, recognizing that His grace is what sustains us when we feel tired or incapable. Practically, we seek this strength through prayer, reading the Word, and fellowship. When we place our trust in His power, our perspective changes: we stop looking at the size of the problem and focus on the greatness of the One who promised us victory and peace.
