The Peace That Rules the Heart
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
In this passage, the Apostle Paul invites us to let the peace of Christ act as an 'umpire' over our decisions and emotions. Having this peace doesn't mean the absence of conflict, but rather the presence of an inner harmony that flows from our communion with God, guiding our steps even in the midst of storms.
We were called to live in unity, as members of a single body. This implies that our personal peace reflects the health of the collective. When we allow Christ's love to lead us, we foster reconciliation and mutual understanding within our community and family.
Finally, gratitude is presented as the key to maintaining this state of mind. A grateful heart is less prone to anxiety and more open to recognizing divine blessings, establishing peace as the foundation of our daily walk.
