God as our fortress and salvation

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
Salmos 37:39NVI
This verse from Psalm 37 reminds us of a fundamental truth: our security does not depend on human strength or favorable circumstances, but on God Himself. In times of uncertainty, the Bible assures us that the Lord is the safe refuge where we can find absolute protection from life's storms. In practice, trusting the Lord as our fortress means handing over control of our worries to Him. When adversity knocks at the door, we don't need to despair, for salvation—which encompasses both spiritual care and daily deliverance—proceeds from His loving and sovereign hands. We can rest in the fact that the Lord doesn't just watch our challenges from afar but becomes our dwelling place in the midst of a crisis. As we pursue justice and righteousness, we allow God's peace to guard our hearts, knowing that He is faithful to sustain His children through any difficult moment.
