The hope of renewed joy
“For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
This psalm of David is a powerful declaration of trust in God's faithfulness. He recognizes that although we face moments of correction or difficulties that bring sadness, these phases are temporary. God's essential nature toward His children is one of favor, grace, and restoration.
