Finding hope in the midst of sorrow
“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”
This verse captures an honest dialogue between the psalmist and his own soul. In moments of anguish and low spirits, it’s common to feel disconnected from joy, but the Bible teaches us that we can face our feelings head-on, without denying them, while reaffirming our trust in the Lord.
