Prioritizing God's Kingdom Today
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
In this section of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus invites us to a radical shift in perspective. Instead of being consumed by anxiety over life's basic needs, we are called to focus our energy and intention on what is eternal: God's will and His reign in our hearts.
Seeking the Kingdom doesn't mean neglecting our responsibilities, but rather putting God at the center of every decision. When we align our priorities with heavenly values, we begin to trust that the Father, who knows all our needs, will take care of the details of our existence.
In practice, this involves seeking God's justice in our relationships and relying on His providence. By making God our number one priority, we experience a peace that transcends understanding, knowing we are never forsaken.
